Visit beautiful Bacharach in the Eifel Region, Germany
Bacharach is a beautiful village that is located on the Rhine River and belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Germany. This town is unique and picture-worthy which makes it a must do during your time in the Eifel Region in Germany.
How to get there
While visiting Bacharach, you have a few options on how to get there. You can take the train and hop off at the station of Bacharach. This is a perfect option if you don’t have a car.
However, if you do have a car, I recommend using it and driving yourself to this town. Bacharach is an outlying town and by car you are in full control of your day and time. Just park your car at the parking lot in front of the town and start exploring.
And last but not least, the bike. Lot’s of tourists visit the Eifel region and take a bike with them. This gives them the freedom to cycle from one town to the other. And while you go from one town to the other, you have a gorgeous view over the Rhine River.
Entrance fee
Bacharach is completely free to visit. You only need to pay for the car parking. But beside that, you don’t need to make any costs while visiting Bacharach.
What to do?
Hop out of your car and start to wander around the town. From the parking lot it takes 2 minutes to be in the center. From here you can explore all the beautiful buildings and houses in Bacharach.
You don’t need to follow a route because it is so small, you will find your way back. Just enjoy wandering around this beautiful town in Germany.

The Eifel Region in Germany is a populair summer destination. However, this area is also perfect in the off-season. Spring and autumn are also good seasons for the Eifel Region because it will be less crowded. Do keep in mind that Germany has many types of weather and also a lot of rain.
My boyfriend and I visited The Eifel Region in the winter which is also a great season. We had almost every place to ourselves and the prices of the accommodations are lower.
